Description

Skeo Solutions is an employee-focused consulting firm providing innovative, collaborative and multidisciplinary solutions to complex and pressing issues in environmental stewardship, social equity and economic opportunity. 

Skeo Solutions seeks to provide an intern job opportunity for a motivated, energetic and earnest person with strong writing and graphic design skills with or pursuing an undergraduate degree to join their team for a three- to four-month internship. The selected intern will be paid at the rate of $20 per hour.  

 

Candidates should demonstrate they are detail-oriented, highly responsive and capable of supporting several projects at one time. Ideal candidates will have a background in graphic design, research and writing. Applicants should be proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop). Experience with Publisher, GIS, marketing and grant or proposal writing are a plus. Applicants should be able to multi-task, work effectively on a team, maintain a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills. The internship is expected to require no more than 40 hours a week. Applicants must provide both a writing example and graphic design portfolio, in addition to a resume, as part of the application process. Applicants must have internet access that allows them to perform tasks requiring large amounts of data transfer. Applicants in the Charlottesville, Virginia area may choose to work in the Skeo office.  

 

Skeo plans to evaluate the need for a permanent graphics position in August 2022. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing or having recently obtained (no more than two years) a bachelor’s degree related to or including graphic design, research and writing or related field. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. 

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite programs. 

  • Ability to start, full-time or part-time, in early June. 

Advantageous Qualifications: 

  • Ability to start, full-time or part-time, within two weeks after hiring. 

  • Publisher, GIS, marketing and grant or proposal writing. 

  • Proficiency speaking and writing in a foreign language, especially Spanish.
