About the position:
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, flexible and earnest bilingual Navajo/English associate to join the Skeo team on a part-time basis. A primary responsibility will be working with Skeo team members to provide a variety of support to Navajo-speaking communities dealing with environmental problems. Ideal candidates will have Navajo language proficiency (fluency preferred) and a strong understanding of environmental issues (Associates or Bachelors degree in environmental or related field preferred, but not required). Ideal candidates will also have strong people skills and be willing to travel to various locations throughout the Navajo Nation, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Work will be performed in a team setting and the selected candidate will report to a Skeo Senior Associate. The selected candidate could also provide support to numerous other projects depending upon skill set. This position is hourly with pay commensurate with experience. Throughout the term of employment, both employee and employer will retain the right to terminate employment in accordance with state law.
