About the Position:
 
Skeo Solutions is an employee focused consulting firm providing innovative, collaborative, and multidisciplinary solutions to complex and pressing issues in environmental stewardship, social equity and economic opportunity.
 
We are seeking a motivated, energetic, flexible and earnest Mid-Level Associate to join the Skeo team. A primary responsibility will be coordinating with clients to implement projects providing technical assistance to communities dealing with environmental challenges. Ideal candidates will have exceptional communications skills, experience organizing and managing multi-faceted projects, strong technical skills, and willingness to travel for 20 or more trips per year at various locations throughout the U.S. Work will be performed in a team setting and the selected candidate will report to a Skeo Senior Associate. The selected candidate will also provide support to numerous other projects depending upon skill set. Associates are expected to work fulltime (approximately 40 hours/week) and are eligible for full benefits (including health, dental and life insurance, paid time off, and 401k participation with an employer match). The position is a telework position in the western U.S. with preference for California. Throughout the term of employment, both employee and employer will retain the right to terminate employment in accordance with state law.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or related field.
  • At least five years of experience organizing or managing multi-faceted projects.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Willingness to travel for 20 or more trips per year throughout the United States.
  • Located in the western U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in environmental sciences or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience explaining technical information to lay audiences (e.g. teaching experience).
  • Previous experience working with environmental agencies.
  • Previous experience working with ethnically diverse and/or economically disadvantaged communities.
  • Facilitation or planning experience.
  • Adobe Creative Suite and GIS experience.
  • Located in California.
